SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY
To direct and control the central purchasing functions of all NGWHI companies including Kit Properties, Luminance Inc. and Holister Inc. to ensure that goods and services are purchased at the most competitive prices and are of the required quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Negotiate purchase agreements for products or services with suppliers who meet the company’s requirements to secure the most favorable terms of business for the company.
- Manage activities related to material requirements planning, strategic or tactical purchasing, and controlling inventory.
- Determine appropriate schedule, equipment and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.
- Direct and control purchasing staff to ensure that they are well motivated and trained to carry out their responsibilities.
- Develop and implement necessary policies and procedures, operating strategies and plans to ensure that the purchasing function operates effectively.
- Implement new or improved supply chain processes to improve efficiency or performance.
- Prepare and manage the purchasing operational budget.
- Examine financial records to ensure compliance with policies or regulations.
- Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as commodity cost or quality.
- Prepare financial documents and reports.
- Analyze data to inform operational decisions or activities.
- Maintain an awareness of any development in the field of supply chain or with suppliers to have opportunities for innovation to increase process efficiency, costs reduction and increase competitiveness.
- Monitor supply or service contracts to ensure that they are being carried out effectively.
- Resolve employee or contractor problems.
- Act as the company’s adviser on all matters relating to the supply chain management function.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- qualifications equivalent to a degree or NVQ4 in an appropriate discipline;
- at least 5 years’ experience in a supply chain management function- significant and relevant management and leadership experience in a supply chain based environment is generally required;
- knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources;
- knowledge of end to end supply chain processes and best practices, management systems, health and safety regulations, public safety and security, customer and personal service, production and processing, education and training, administration and management, computers and electronics, English language, mathematics, personnel and human resources, risk management, project management, lean management, legal, finance, information technology sustainability , general marketing knowledge, cross-enterprise and business strategy knowledge;

- experience in enterprise supply chain ERP software is preferred
