Batad, Iloilo – Kit Properties Inc. is set to complete the construction of Hamod People’s Village for the victims and survivors of Super Typhoon Yolanda.
There is a total of 619 single-story row houses in the village situated at Barangay Hamod, Batad, Iloilo, with each unit having a total floor area of 26 sqm. The houses will come with complete plumbing and electrical fixtures.
Design parameters for Hamod People’s Village conform to the Design for Socialized and Economic housing, National Building Code and other the housing-related laws to ensure that all houses will be able to withstand extreme weather conditions and other natural calamities.
The Philippine National Government, through the National Housing Authority (NHA) embarked on a grand rehabilitation project to provide fully serviced lots with completed housing units to be utilized as permanent resettlement sites for qualified families residing in “unsafe zones” affected by the devastation caused by Super Typhoon “Yolanda”.
